The One True Game

Do other party card games leave you feeling... empty inside?

Cult Following is a storytelling game where you convince your friends that the eternal truths that you just made up should command devotion, while their fanatical ravings are just plain ridiculous.

Choose ideas from a hand of cards, bind them together into a ridiculous cult and pitch it to your friends. Answer pointed questions from potential recruits, defending your own ideas while attacking the lies of the other cultists. Describe how your cult ascends into fame and fortune, while others languish in obscurity!

Will your friends heed your warning about timid forest creatures, shapeshifting and unspeakable horrors, or will another cult steal your rightful followers?

The Oxford comma
"Aggression, violence, and rudeness are rampant in our society. Even though these things sometimes feel good, they wind up doing more harm than good. Our cult has found a way to combine the feel-good aspects of those violent acts with educationally constructive activities that will better humanity. The answer is to use passive aggression which gives the emotional benefit of aggression without the physical and social damage. Our members go online and teach proper etiquette and manners to people they are mad at by correcting their grammar, which both improves people's writing skills and satisfies those destructive urges. Society will become a better place when war is replaced by smug, civilized, and safe debate about the proper usage of the Oxford comma."
