The One True Game

Cult Following will be exhibiting with Indie Megabooth Tabletop at PAX West 2018!

Do other party card games leave you feeling... empty inside?

Cult Following is a storytelling game where you convince your friends that the eternal truths that you just made up should command devotion, while their fanatical ravings are just plain ridiculous.

Choose ideas from a hand of cards, bind them together into a ridiculous cult and pitch it to your friends. Answer pointed questions from potential recruits, defending your own ideas while attacking the lies of the other cultists. Describe how your cult ascends into fame and fortune, while others languish in obscurity!

Will your friends heed your warning about timid forest creatures, shapeshifting and unspeakable horrors, or will another cult steal your rightful followers?

"...it was a blast. I’m actually not even sure how long we played, people joined in and dropped out between rounds as they wanted. Which, to me, is a hallmark of a good party game."
"I loved getting the chance to play this game at PAX. One of my friends loved it so much that it was their very next drunk Amazon purchase"
"Next time you’re at a party, I recommend giving this game a spin with your silliest friends—just maybe avoid drinking the Kool-Aid…"
"This game is really really good." "Seriously my favorite of the genre by far."
"Overall the game is fantastic" "The whole time while we were playing it was nothing but laughing, we weren’t even drinking or anything!"
"Cult Following is a real laugh and a good time" "With so many cards the replay value is there" "We had a good time and are giving it a solid 8 ‘over the cliff sheeps’ out of 10"
"Cult Following can really shine with the right people. Creative people that are able to weave a good story around their cult and give detailed answers to questions are what make Cult Following really stand out. The game has plenty of opportunities to create laugh out loud scenarios."
“This is just a straight up fun game. I was not sure what to expect going into it, but five minutes in I was explaining to everyone that reality is a computer simulation, and joining my cult was the only way to experience the truth.” – 9/10

"Our followers believe that humankind is basically good. The only problem is that people talk too much. There is too much chatter and nobody seems to know when to shut up. That’s where we come in. One by one, we will correct everyone’s overly talkative behavior by gently inviting them onto our boat. Once on board we will take them out to sea for a year and perform our traditional screaming ritual - frequently and at great length. A year of this the ritual will cause blood to gush forth from their ears and they will no longer be able to hear. When every human has done this there will be no more chatter, because there will be no one who can hear it. At long last, our world will know true peace."
